Liz has been working for Brion Raffoul since the summer of 2017. Since her first summer position, Liz worked throughout law school for the firm. As a member of our patent practice, her primary focus is in drafting software patents, in particular in cutting edge fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). She also assists with IP licensing, copyright, design and trademark matters and provides general legal advice around intellectual property protection.
Liz completed her law degree at the University of Ottawa in May 2019. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science with Honors Specialization in Astrophysics, a minor in Computer Science, and a minor-equivalent in Music.
She is currently a member of the Cantata Singers Ottawa.
