Stacey graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Genetics (Co-op) and graduated from Robson Hall law school with a J.D. in 2017. During her legal studies, Stacey was awarded the Honsa Family Prize in Intellectual Property Law for the graduating student who achieved the highest combined standing in Copyright Law and Trademarks and Patents.
Over the course of her education and work experience in genetics, Stacey has gained expertise in various life science fields, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, microbiology and immunology. Stacey’s work is largely focused on patent and industrial design drafting and prosecution and drafting patentability and FTO opinions. She also has experience drafting and amending customized IP ownership and licensing agreements, software license and service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and IP provisions in employment contracts.
